Celtic already in talks to fulfil Ange Postecoglou’s wish

Celtic have looked like a side transformed ever since the arrival of Ange Postecoglou as manager last summer. Changes can easily be felt at several levels at the club, whether it be the efficiency that they have shown in the transfer market or the change of approach on the pitch. One thing that has certainly been helped by the former Australian national team boss’ appointment is the global brand of the Hoops.

Celtic are set to travel to Australia later this year to take part in the Sydney Super Cup. Everton will also be involved in the tournament, after the Rangers decided to pull out. It is believed to be a very lucrative deal for the Hoops.

There could be more such lucrative tours for the club in the future, as their global brand continues to grow. And their destination next summer could very well be Japan.

As reported by Sponichi, Celtic are planning a Japan tour next summer and the club’s marketing staff has already visited Japan several times, as negotiations are underway.

Celtic are already in negotiations to fulfil Postecoglou’s wish

Postecoglou spent significant part of his career managing in Japan. In fact, he was at Yokohama F. Marinos before making the switch to Celtic last summer.

The manager has admitted in the past that he is pushing for a tour to Japan in the future for Celtic and it looks like that might potentially end up becoming reality next summer.

It could be another lucrative deal for Celtic and it is not hard to see why. Not only is the presence of Postecoglou a major factor but there are four Japanese players at the club right now as well in the form of Kyogo Furuhashi, Daizen Maeda, Reo Hatate and Yosuke Ideguchi. In the past, Parkhead was the home of Shunsuke Nakamura.
