Video of Celtic star singing You’ll Never Walk Alone with fans goes viral

It was a special day for Celtic to say the least, as they celebrated their climb back up to the top of the Scottish game. It was a remarkable season to say the least that took many twists and turns. It was not the greatest beginning for Ange Postecoglou at Parkhead as the Hoops were knocked out of the Champions League qualifiers early and then lost three of their first six league games. But the ending was as happy as anyone could have hoped for.

The club had finished 25 points behind the Rangers in the Premiership last season and not even come close to winning a trophy, in what was one of the most disastrous campaigns in the history of Celtic.

Thus, this victory would have tasted even sweeter for those who have been at Celtic for a long time.

Anthony Ralston is one such player, who signed for the club back in 2008 and has taken the journey from being a ball boy at the club to a champion. He shared a beautiful video of himself singing You’ll Never Walk Alone with the fans on his Instagram.

Ralston is the perfect example of why Celtic climbed back to the top of the mountain

Ralston’s rise this season has been very similar to that of the club himself. At the start of the campaign, not many would have given him much chance of making an impact in the first-team.

Most fans had written Ralston off as a player who would never make it in the first-team and was destined to head out of the club soon. But all of that changed at the start of the season.

Without any other right-back in his squad to pick from, Postecoglou gave a run of games to Ralston. It is safe to say that he took the opportunity with both hands.

Showing improvement in all aspects of his game, Ralston turned into an important contributor for the club this season even if he was not a starter all the time. He came up good in some big moments as well.

According to stats from Transfermarkt, Ralston made 47 appearances this season, scoring 5 goals and providing 9 assists.
