Tom Rogic reveals what he will do after leaving Celtic

Tom Rogic has had an eventful Celtic career to say the least, that has had the highest of highs and the lowest of lows. Ultimately though, it is one that he can look back and be proud of. The Australian international brought down the curtain on his time at Parkhead, as the Hoops got a 6-0 win over Motherwell and then celebrated their Premiership title triumph.

Rogic got visibly emotional as he walked off the Celtic Park pitch for the last time but it is great to see that he got the chance to end his career on top.

He enjoyed one of his best campaigns in a long time under the management of Ange Postecoglou  and was one of the contenders for the Player of the Season. Not many could have predicted that he would be able to get back to this level, after having spent the past few campaigns on the periphery of the team.

It does not look like Rogic has decided where he will be heading to after leaving Celtic and plans to discuss his options with his agent in the coming weeks. As reported by 67 Hail Hail, he told Channel 10:

“I am ready for a new challenge and a change of scene is something that will motivate me. I’ll sit down with my agent in the coming weeks and discuss my options.

“Right now it’s just about what a great time I’ve had here and enjoying my last couple of days.”

A return to Australia does not seem to be on the cards though as he revealed:

“Probably yeah [I can rule that out], that seems unlikely.”

Where will Rogic go after leaving Celtic?

It remains to be seen where Rogic will end up after leaving Celtic. A move down South cannot be ruled out, but then, would Premier League clubs be willing to take a chance on the Australian considering his lengthy history of injuries.

Could he head to the Middle-East, having already been linked with a move there a couple of years back? Or perhaps experience in the MLS attracts Rogic. Would he be open to playing in a country with a completely different culture and language at this stage of his career?

There are a lot of questions to be answered to say the least. Let’s see where Rogic ends up. All we can do is wish him the best of luck and thank him for all the incredible moments over his Celtic career.

Thank you, Tom. Thank you for everything.
