Micah Richards makes incredible Celtic Park admission

Celtic Park is without doubt one of the best stadiums in the world to play football in and its atmosphere has been praised by legends of the game like Lionel Messi, Xavi, Andres Iniesta, Bastian Schweinsteiger, Kaka and many others over the years. There’s just nothing like Parkhead on Glasgow Derby day or a big European night under the lights.

Micah Richards is someone who has played in his fair share of big games, having represented Manchester City, Fiorentina and Aston Villa at the club level. He was one of the biggest talents in the world while coming through the youth ranks and even made his England national team debut at the age of 18.

He ultimately did not have the career that many would have expected but has found a lot of success as a pundit since retiring from the game, striking up a brilliant partnership with former Celtic star, Roy Keane.

As reported by 67 Hail Hail, while speaking on the Match of the Day: Top 10, Richards recalled his experience of visiting Parkhead for a game between Celtic and the Rangers, as he said:

“Once. Never again. Forget that.

“(I went to) Celtic.

“I’ve never heard a noise like it. It’s incredible.”

Richards makes Celtic Park admission during Glasgow Derby

Those who have been at Parkhead for a Glasgow Derby would not be surprised by Richards’ experience at all. It has to be seen to be believed for sure.

Of course, another game between Celtic and the Rangers is coming up soon, set to be played next weekend at Parkhead. And it could end up having major implications on the fate of the league title.

If Celtic manage to get a win on the day over the Rangers, they will virtually guarantee themselves the title with three games still to be played, owing to a vastly superior goal difference.

Of course, things are expected to be tight, with the Rangers winning the last time that these two met, in the Scottish Cup semi-final at Hampden Park earlier this month. It is safe to say that we are heading towards a mouth-watering fixture.
