The former Scotland defender, speaking exclusively to Football Insider, suggested the 20-year-old’s exploits have “gone under the radar” due to the form of teammate Jota.
The Israel international has notched an impressive 14 goals and 11 assists across 39 Celtic appearances this term.
According to the Scottish Sun (3 February), Crystal Palace are “keeping tabs” on the winger with Celtic reportedly unwilling to cash in.
Hutton praised Abada’s ability to be in the “right place” to finish off moves with “easy tap-ins”.
“He really has been a revelation for Celtic this season,” he told Football Insider‘s Russell Edge.
“He’s slightly gone
under the radar because of what Jota has done. But the goals he’s scored and
the contribution from a wide area has been brilliant.
“What I really like
about him, and what a lot of pundits have commented on is his ability to get
involved in play. He gets into that back post every time and he’s in the right
place to get those easy tap-ins – you see him doing that quite a lot.
“He’s done really well and Celtic will want to keep hold of him, but when these big teams come calling – there is business to be done.
“He’s easily doubled in value, and he could even fetch a lot more if he continues to push on.”
Abada joined Celtic from Maccabi Petah Tikva for a reported £3.5million in July 2021.
The youngster signed a five-year deal at Parkhead.
