Celtic: 3 players who could leave on Deadline Day

Celtic have had an eventful January transfer window, having signed Daizen Maeda, Reo Hatate, Yosuke Ideguchi, Johnny Kenny and Matt O’Riley. The Hoops are not expected to make any more additions to their squad this month. It is very possible though that one or more players could end up departing Parkhead on loan or on a permanent basis, before the transfer window slams shut.

There are a number of players at Celtic right now who could benefit from a move away from the club.

For youngsters, this could mean spells away on loan so that they can play some regular football and develop.

On the other hand, for some others, permanent moves may be more suited as it looks very unlikely that they will get first-team opportunities at Parkhead any time soon.

Urhoghide arrived at Celtic with a lot of expectations in the summer and was in fact the first signing of the Ange Postecoglou era.

Things have not turned out as expected for Urhoghide though, who has struggled to break into the first-team picture at Parkhead.

He had to wait until December, before making his Celtic debut against Real Betis in the final game of the Europa League group stage campaign. And to be honest, he put in a very good performance on the day, and impressed a lot of fans.

At the moment though, it feels very unlikely that Urhoghide will become a major part of the first-team picture at Celtic this season. As a result, a loan move away makes sense.

It might be close as well as rumours have suggested that Urhoghide is already in Belgium to join KV Oostende on loan till the end of the campaign.
