Celtic Predicted XI vs Hearts: Injuries force major changes

Celtic face a lot of selection headaches going into the away game against Hearts. The Hoops have several players unavailable due to either injury problems or international duty. On the other hand, the hosts are a team in form at the moment, having won four straight and currently sit at third in the Premiership table. Thus, this is expected to be a tough contest for Ange Postecoglou’s side.

Daizen Maeda and Tom Rogic will not be available due to international duty for Japan and Australia, respectively. On the other hand, Kyogo and David Turnbull were already on the sidelines due to injuries and are expected to remain there for a while longer.

Unfortunately for Celtic, more names were added to the injury list recently as Callum McGregor, Yosuke Ideguchi and Liel Abada were all forced off the pitch in their recent game against Alloa Athletic in the Scottish Cup fourth round.

Among those, Abada could potentially still be available to face Hearts while it is believed that the other two will remain out for longer, with McGregor rumoured to even need surgery. Let’s see how things turn out but it is safe to say that the situation is far from ideal for Celtic.

Here’s how we think Ange Postecoglou will line Celtic up when they face Hearts, with Ange Postecoglou’s side missing a lot of key players:

Hart has been one of Celtic’s most important players this season, since arriving in the summer from Tottenham Hotspur.

Not only has he impressed with his performances in goal but he has proven himself to be a vocal leader in this team as well, which they needed after Scott Brown’s exit.

It is very possible that he could be the one with the armband in McGregor’s absence.
