There has been no stopping Kyogo Furuhashi ever since he has arrived at Celtic over the summer. The Japanese star has been absolutely sublime and it is arguable that he is the most important part of Ange Postecoglou’s team right now. Thus, the fact that he had to be brought off in the second half against Dundee FC, might have worried a lot of fans.
Kyogo found the back of the net twice on the day as well and has looked unstoppable in front of goal. According to stats from Transfermarkt, he has now scored 13 goals and provided 3 assists in 18 appearances for Celtic across all competitions.
But it is not just goals or assists that he brings to the table either. He also brings a different energy to this team that goes missing when he is not on the pitch. We have already seen the Hoops struggle when Kyogo was out injured a while back.
Thus, fans will be hoping that he does not pick up any serious injuries and there is a positive update about the Japanese star. As reported by The Scottish Sun, the Celtic manager said:
“He is fine.
“He got a bit of a knock on the shoulder and I didn’t know how long he would last after Thursday night.
“We got a good hour out of him so it as good.”
The Celtic star does not appear to have picked up any serious injury problem
We will now head into the international break and one can only hope that the Celtic stars can remain injury free while representing their national sides.
Celtic have done tremendously well in their recent games. Over their past eight games, they have won seven and drawn once. That is a great run of form which has seen them climb up from sixth to second in the Scottish Premiership table, just four points behind the Rangers, and improve their position in the Europa League.
Now, the next target should be on catching up with the Rangers in the Premiership and getting positive results against Bayer Leverkusen and Real Betis in the Europa League. For that to happen, they will definitely need Kyogo.
